2026 Indian Mountain Community Chipping
July 1 - August 31
The 2026 Indian Mountain Community Chipping Week will take place tentatively in the month of July or August. As part of our commitment to being a Firewise community, we aim to do our part to eliminate dead wood and mitigate wildfire danger on our properties. IMCA offers wood chipping to help eliminate fallen wood and minimize fire risks in Indian Mountain.
To do the wood chipping, the requirements are:
- Wood must be neatly stacked with the butt end of the trees facing the same direction.
- Trees must be less than 9″ in diameter.
- Felled trees will be stacked along the roadways for easy access.
- No root balls, construction materials, treated wood will be chipped.
- Nails, screws, or metal material may damage the contractor’s equipment and you may be liable for damages.
- All chippings will be broadcast back onto your property.
If you are interested in having your wood chipped this year, please fill the RSVP form. Wood piles should be ready by a day or two before the chipping week begins. We will ask for pictures of your wood piles for chipping once we get closer to the deadline.
