7:30-9:30 and 9:30-10 a.m. Free bird walks along the one mile Puma Point trail. Learn to identify birds by sight and sound while also learning about trees and plants where the birds live. Led by Joe LaFleur. Meet at Wilkerson Pass Visitor Center.
9 a.m. to noon – Forestry academy presented by the CSU Extension and Park County Master Gardeners. Experts will talk about preventing tree pests such as pine beetles, planning, planting and care for your trees, questions answered and more. 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Fairplay Clean-Up Days at the Town of Fairplay Public Works Office, 1507 CR 16 (Costello Ave.). Take unwanted items to Public Works. Electronics will be accepted all day Friday. Free trashbags at Town Hall, 891 Main St. Borrow a trash grabber or pooper scooper and help clean up the neighborhood Must be a town resident or business. Proof of residency required.
1 p.m. Knitting group at the Bailey Community Center. Take your needles and join the fun, learning and socializing. Call 720-385-8300 for more information.

11 a.m. to 5 p.m. – Celebration of the Painted Ladies, a circus-themed fundraiser benefiting the Middle Way Sanctuary at 686 Reinecker Road in Hartsel. Includes hayrides, circus workshops and activities, silent auction and raffles.
