Friday, April 3

9:30 a.m. – Storytime at Fairplay Library, 400 Front Street.

10 a.m. to noon – Lego Club at the Fairplay Library, 400 Front Street.

10-11:30 a.m. – Kinder Gym Fridays at the South Park Recreational Center for ages six months to five years old. Open gym and tumbling. Parent or guardian supervision is required. Free with membership or drop in for $6.

Saturday, April 4

8:30 a.m. – Volunteer event Spring Wildfire Mitigation at Buckskin Meadow. Visit MRHI.org to sign up; walk ups are welcome. Wear long sleeves, sturdy footwear and gloves. Take water and snacks.

1-2 p.m. – Easter egg hunt at the Middle Way Sanctuary, 686 Reinecker Road. Easter eggs, hay rides, mustang kissing booth, guess the jelly beans, bake sale, cotton candy, snacks, drinks and more.

11:30 a.m. – Annual Egg Extravaganza at the Bailey Public Library. Hunts start at 11 a.m. and will proceed by age group at 11:30 a.m. and noon. Lots of prizes, games, face painting and hot dogs.

6-9 p.m. – Hoedown at the American Legion in Fairplay, fundraiser for Far View Horse Rescue. Dancing, cowboy snacks, entertainment and more. Tickets cost $15, tickets for children 12 and younger are $12.

Monday, April 6

6 p.m. – Town of Fairplay Board of Trustees regular meeting at town hall board room, 901 Main St. Fairplay.

6:30 p.m. – Fairplay AA meeting at South Park Community Church, 300 Sixth St. Fairplay.

Tuesday, April 7

9-11:30 a.m. – Park County Board of Commissioners will meet for work session followed by regular meeting at 1 p.m. in the county offices, 856 Castello Avenue.

7 p.m. Alma Town Council meeting at town hall, 59 Buckskin St. in Alma.

End of day – Deadline to reserve spot in the Seniors Alliance of Platte Canyon Free Technology Classes. Learn to use iPhone, tablets and laptop at Platte Canyon High School Library. Call 720-385-8300. Classes are on April 9, 16, 23 and 30 from 4-5 p.m.

Wednesday, April 8

5:30 p.m. – Green Thumbs Up Bailey organizational meeting at Bailey Community Gardens, 83 Main St. Join local gardeners in volunteering skills and interests in beautifying the Bailey community.

Friday, April 10

Saturday, April 11

10 a.m. – 3 p.m. – Local author fair at the Shawnee Community Center. Celebrate local stories, meet local writers at this family-friendly afternoon in the foothills. The event features book signings, community book give aways, kids activities and hooks and holes mini-donuts.

11 a.m. to noon – Far View Horse Rescue and Rehabilitation open house.

Monday, April 9

6:30 p.m. – Fairplay AA meeting at South Park Community Church, 300 Sixth St. Fairplay.

Tuesday, April 10

10 a.m.-2 p.m. – Stride Mobile Healthcare Clinic at the Bailey Library, 350 Bulldogger Road.

4:30-5:30 p.m. TOPS meeting at South Park Recreation Center.

5-8 p.m. Campfire nights at Glenn Isle Resort with Randall McKinnon at 573 Old Stagecoach Road, Bailey.

Wednesday, April 15

11 a.m. to 2 p.m. – Rocky Mountain Rural Health Outreach at Park County Fairplay Branch Library, 400 Front St. Fairplay.

12:15 p.m. Mobile Food Share at the Rainbow Roundup Trout Ranch, 32234 Fishpond Way in Pine.

1:15 p.m. – Mobile Food Share at the Bailey Community Center, 83 Main in Bailey.

1-6 p.m. – Park County Board of Commissioners will meet for work session and regular meeting at county offices, 856 Castello Avenue. Work session is from 1-3 p.m. Regular meeting is from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.

2:15 p.m. Mobile Food Share at the Bailey Library, 350 Bulldogger Road in Bailey.

4 p.m. – Craft and Chat for people ages 18 years and older at Fairplay Library, 400 Front Street. Supplies not provided so take a work in progress and “your friendly spirit.”

5:30 p.m. – Bailey Raised Bed Gardeners Orientation at Bailey Community Gardens, 83 Main St.

Thursday, April 16

10:15 a.m. – Chair Yoga at Bailey Public Library.

11 a.m. to 2 p.m. – Rocky Mountain Rural Health Outreach at Bailey Public Library, 350 Bulldogger Road, Bailey.

6:30-7:30 p.m. – Fairplay AA meeting at South Park Christian Chapel, 385 Ninth St. Fairplay.

Saturday, April 18

10 a.m. – Informal get-together with Susan Dagett at the Platte Canyon Fire Station, 153 Dellwood Drive in Bailey. Dagett is the wife of Sen. Michael Bennet and executive director of the Rocky Mountain Land Use Institute.

10 a.m. – Earth Day Celebration, fundraiser for Bailey Community Gardens, 83 Main St. Master gardeners and CSU Extension office offers Earth Day information and activities, houseplants, seedlings, pots, tools, refreshments and more for donations the community gardening programs.

Noon-3 p.m. – Free Soup Saturday at the American Legion, 501 Clark St. Fairplay.

Sunday, April 19

2 p.m. – Mary Ellen Johnson will showcase her latest book, “The Golden Promise of Cripple Creek” at the Pikes Peak Historical Society upcoming Chautauqua. The event will be held at Lake George Charter School, 38874 U.S. 24 in Lake George. Free and open to the public.

April 25

9-11 a.m. – Bird walk and birding workshop, bird walk and audiovisual program at McGraw Park, 39 Wellington Lake Road in Bailey. Workshop fee is $25 and includes a mountain birds book. April 26

2-5:30 p.m. – Buckskin Joe’s 4H Paint and Snack at 880 Bogue St., Fairplay. Tickets cost $35. All proceeds benefit the 4H Shooting Sports Program.

Noon-3 p.m. – Free Soup Saturday at the American Legion, 501 Clark St. Fairplay.

Saturday, June 13

9 a.m. to 5 p.m. – ALma Clean-Up Day. Fill up designated Town of Alma trash bag with noxious weeds and trash throughout town. Free recycling available, fees charged for small appliances, electronics, pain, oil and tires. BBQ provided by the Town of Alma. Call town hall for more information: 719-836-2712.
