Community Chipping Sign-up

The 2025 Indian Mountain chipping program will take place in July/August. As part of our commitment to being a Firewise community, we aim to do our part to eliminate dead wood and mitigate wildfire danger on our properties. We offer wood chipping to help eliminate fallen wood and minimize fire risks in Indian Mountain.

IMPOA will most likely contract Mammoth Mitigation again to do the wood chipping. Their requirements are:

• Wood must be neatly stacked with the butt end of the trees facing the same direction.
• Trees must be less than 9″ in diameter.
• Felled trees will be stacked along the roadways for easy access.
• No root balls, construction materials, treated wood, nails, screws, or metal material.
• All chippings will be broadcast back onto your property.

If you are interested in chipping this year, fill out the RSVP form. Wood piles should be ready by TBD. We will ask for pictures of your wood piles for chipping once we get closer to the deadline.
