From The Flume:
Two Conifer community members were involved in a fatal wrong-way crash on Highway 285, which occurred in the early hours of Monday, July 21. Michael and Debbie Carman were owners of The Abide Ride Burrito Truck, a popular stop for Conifer, Pine and Bailey residents who make early morning commutes into the city. The couple was driving to Denver to stock up on orange juice for their business when they were hit by a vehicle driving in the wrong direction at approximately 6 a.m. The crash occurred near Highway 8 in Jefferson County when the 33-year-old male driver of an Acura was driving southbound in the northbound lane and hit the Carman’s Cadillac. Spinning out of control, the car collided with another vehicle.
